🚨Sexual Assault Detectives are Seeking Additional Victims🚨
The LVMPD Sexual Assault Detail is asking for the public’s assistance in an ongoing investigation involving 62-year-old Eddie Wide, a juvenile probation officer, who was arrested on April 22, 2026, for sexually based crimes that occurred in Las Vegas.
Detectives believe there may be additional juvenile victims and are urging anyone who may have had contact with Wide or has information related to this investigation to come forward.
Wide was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and faces two counts of sexual conduct with a child under his supervision and one count of child abuse.

Hello Northwest residents! My name is Landon Reyes, and I am honored to introduce myself as a new captain of LVMPD‘s Northwest area command. We are proud to continue serving the incredible residents that make this community so special.
We also want to recognize Captain Chris Valdez for more than two decades of dedicated service to the Las Vegas community. From starting as a cadet to leading NWAC as a captain, his commitment and leadership left a lasting impact on this department and our city.
Captain Valdez thank you for your service, mentorship, and sacrifice. You will be missed.
