The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs today announced a new clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of methylenedioxymethamphetamine-assisted therapy, or MDMA-assisted therapy, for the treatment of severe mental health disorders, including posttraumatic stress disorder and alcohol use disorder.
“We need an all-of-the-above strategy when it comes to improving mental health treatments, and under President Trump, that’s exactly what VA is working to deliver,” said VA Secretary Doug Collins. “This trial represents an important step in safely evaluating new approaches and innovations to treat Veterans with severe mental health conditions.”

Memorial Day has turned into the annual Olympics of “today isn’t about you,” “there’s a reason for your BBQ,” and Vetbros and Annual Veteran Discount Seekers racing to correct anyone who says “thank you for your service.”
Yes, today is meant to remember the men and women who never made it home. The ones whose names are etched into stone, folded into flags, and carried in the hearts of the people they left behind.
But it’s also okay to celebrate what they fought for.
They didn’t die so America could sit in silence once a year pretending joy is disrespectful. They fought so families could gather freely, kids could laugh loudly, friends could burn burgers on a grill, and people could live ordinary lives without fear.
And remember, to real veterans, every day is Veterans Day. Every day is Memorial Day. Every day we remember.
We remember the callsigns. The empty chairs. The birthdays missed. The names we still say in our heads when nobody else is listening.
So honor the fallen. Say their names. Raise a glass for them. Then take this day off and spend time with the people you love.
Because freedom, family, laughter, peace, and the ability to simply live, that is exactly what they gave everything for.
Honor. Remember. Celebrate.
