Outdoor patio furniture, seasonal decor, trampolines, and trash cans can easily be blown away as north winds over 30 - 50 MPH are expected this afternoon and tonight. Don't let you Halloween decorations become a hazard!

⚠ UPDATE: Wind Advisory has EXPANDED to include the southern Owens Valley, Death Valley, eastern San Bernardino County, the Colorado River Valley, southern Clark County, & Mohave County. Gusty north-northeasterly winds with speeds 40 - 50 mph. Strongest winds will be on the eastern flanks of mountains Thursday through Friday morning.
Gusty northerly-to-northeasterly winds will return to the region on Thursday and Friday. A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Lower Colorado River Valley, Southern Clark County, and Eastern San Bernardino County. Take time to secure loose outdoor items today!

The Freeze Watch for the northern Owens Valley has been upgraded to a Freeze Warning. The first freeze of the season is on tap for the Bishop area overnight/early Wednesday morning. Take a second this afternoon to make sure your pets and sensitive plants are protected from the cold.

The rain gauge at the Las Vegas Airport briefly went down this morning. Thankfully, our office is the official rainfall back-up site! 🌧We measured 1.08 inches of rainfall this morning here in Las Vegas.
This is about a quarter of what we normally expect to receive over an entire year! This value also breaks the previous daily record for October 11th of 0.78 in 2012.

Overnight lows look to fall into the low 30s for Northern Owens Valley, Esmeralda Co, and Central Nye Co Monday night and into Tuesday morning
