We know the news has portrayed the many staff vacancies across CCSD, but don’t worry about this at VFMS as we are currently FULLY STAFFED! We are excited to begin the 22-23 school year. Our office opens on July 20th should you need to stop by. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

WOW! What an awesome week at VFMS! We had NJHS induction, 8th grade Awards Night, Moving Up for our special education classes, 6th & 7th grade awards this morning, and our Reveur Glow in the Dark House Party this afternoon! 💙💙💙💙 We are so happy to recognize the hard work of our amazing students in person again!

Yesterday CCSD’s professional development department surprised and honored two of our amazing staff members for their extensive work outside of Fertitta. Our instructional coach, Leslie VanSchaik and librarian, Amber Bielak, go above and beyond their duties to ensure the success of our Firebirds as well as the professional development of CCSD teachers after school hours. Congratulations! We appreciate and value both of you! 💙❤️

VFMS Campus Clean Up was a HUGE success! We are so grateful for the 80+ families and our many staff that came out for this campus beautification project! We love our Firebird Family! ❤️💙🔥🐦

Congratulations to our awesome Robo Firebirds team! They qualified for the First Lego League State Competition for Nevada by earning the Core Values award! All day Saturday they competed in 3- two-minute and 30 second rounds as well as presented to a group of judges. Our awesome coaches, Joshua Ryan Abellera and Jacqui Chalhoub, really allowed this competition to be student-driven. Between rounds the students were problem-solving and troubleshooting and this is where the learning happens! We are so proud of our Robo Firebirds!!! ❤️💙

What a busy, yet incredible week at the Fabulous Fertitta MS!!! We celebrated Inclusive Schools Week, Altruismo Spirit Week, Fine Arts performances and finished the Perlie Claus Toy Drive for the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. Our students and staff are doing amazing things every week and we are so grateful for all of our Firebirds! ❤️💙

Shout out to our awesome counselor, Shurine Simpson, and our registrar, Deneise Carroll for partnering with our community church, Water of Life, to serve Thanksgiving dinners to 17 families! 🦃🥧

We appreciate our Firebird staff every day, but this week we spoiled them with treats for American Education Week ❤️💙🥛☕️🥤🍿🌮🍫🍬

Congratulations! These amazing Firebirds earned their Golden Ticket to the Ron Clark Academy today! I know they will be inspired and bring a spark back to Fertitta that will ignite the rest of our staff. ❤️💙
