The Child Care and Development Program's income eligibility limits have been updated.

New income limits and subsidy levels for child care benefits take effect October 1, 2026, for new applications and applicable renewals.

If you lost SNAP-purchased food due to the Hawk Fire or power outage, you may qualify for help.

Impacted households must report the food loss within 10 days of the fire or power outage. Replacement benefit requests must be verified and reviewed, and the amount may be less than the amount requested.

SNAP recipients affected by the fires or power outages can report their food loss by visiting a local DSS office (see https://www.dss.nv.gov/contact/ for locations) or by calling (775) 684-7200.

School may be out, but nutritious meals are still on the menu!

Nevada children and teens 18 and younger can enjoy free summer meals at participating locations across the state, including schools, parks, community centers, churches, camps, and more. No registration or income verification is required.

The Summer Food Service Program provides up to 2 FREE nutritious meals per day to all children 18 years & under in low-income areas, at approved sites in NV.
