It's the last day of school, and that must mean ice cream and new bikes! Our club was thrilled to present brand new bikes to students who achieved perfect attendance for the year! Seeing those smiles - that's the way to welcome in summer!

We also held an ice cream social for all the kids who had perfect attendance for the semester, and we got invited to the 5th grade dance and end-of-year party funded by one of our teacher mini-grants!

Special shout-out to Target #1062 for the donation of a bike and helmet!

Messages like this remind us why we do what we do! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

“As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible support you’ve shown to Jydstrup Elementary School. Your partnership has made a meaningful impact on our students, staff, and community. From hosting various staff luncheons and events to sponsoring our student attendance program, your generosity has truly brightened our school year. It is because of caring partners like you that we can continue to nurture and inspire young minds.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our Jydstrup family. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Thanksgiving!”

In Rotary, the basis of all we do is based off of this four way test that states:

Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

We hold four way speech contest for high school students who are interested and dedicated to the culture and mission of the club.

Congratulations to the first place winner: Jayne McGovern and the 2nd place winner Shammah Joseph.

Both of these ladies are from A Tech and Jayne received an award of $100 while Shammah received an award of $75.

Building Leaders. Building Community.

Chartered in 1994, Las Vegas West Rotary's mission is to enhance the quality of life in our local community by assisting at-risk youth and to lend our support to the global community by contributing to the humanitarian efforts of Rotary International. We are a small, yet powerful group of business leaders who seek to make a difference in a child's life while enjoying social events with our other club members and those throughout the Las Vegas Valley and our district. We live by our motto "Service Above Self" and we would love to have like-minded professionals join our group! We meet up on Tuesdays at noon at Red Rock Country Club (although sometimes we skip lunch for a social or service project, so it is good to confirm before you come. You are always welcome to join us, regardless of what is on the calendar!).

In an effort to be transparent to our prospective members, we are listing our membership dues so there are no surprises. We promise the joy of helping these kids is worth every penny!
