Courtesy New 3 in Las Vegas, Delta Company's Mobilization Ceremony November 2nd at the Clark County Armory. 221 CAV is sending 70 of their own for a mission to Kuwait.

At the beginning of September, the State of Nevada sent a team of 4 shooters: SGT Foronda, SSG Baker, 1LT Hornback, and 1LT Holden, to Compete in the National Winston P. Wilson Rifle and Pistol Championships at the National Guard Marksmanship Training Center in Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas.
One of 1-221 Cav's own, 1LT Benjamin Holden, finished the match in 2nd place in the Overall Pistol Category for the Novice Division. Finishing in the top 10%, he earned his first Excellence in Competition "leg" points, awarding him the Bronze EIC Badge.
He also brought home the Chief's 50 Marksmanship badge. The Chief’s 50 Marksmanship Badge was established to provide evidence and public recognition of outstanding marksmanship abilities as demonstrated at the National Guard Championships.This is the first time in Nevada state history that a soldier has received this award.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of the tragic events that took 58 lives and wounded hundreds of others during Route 91 Harvest festival 2017.
