Good morning Jaguars!

We just wanted to send a reminder that there is no school tomorrow 10/17/25 and Monday 10/20/25. We will see everyone on Tuesday 10/21/25! Tuesday is Jaguar Jamboree so don't forget to wear school colors or spirit wear!

Dear Parents,

I'm writing to you today with some truly exciting news. Due to the incredible efforts of our entire school community, we have officially been designated a 5-star school! This is a monumental achievement, and it’s a direct result of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

This recognition reflects the passion and commitment our teachers bring to the classroom every single day. They go above and beyond to ensure every student is challenged, supported, and given the tools they need to succeed. Their dedication to fostering a love for learning is at the heart of our success.

Our students have also risen to the occasion. They show up each day ready to learn and eager to tackle new challenges. Their resilience and hard work are inspiring, and they are the reason we've reached this new level of excellence.

Finally, we could not have done this without you, our amazing parents. Your consistent support, from volunteering at school events to ensuring your children are in school and on time, is invaluable. We saw this firsthand in our chronic absenteeism rate, which decreased by more than 10% this year, bringing our rate down to just 8.8%. This significant improvement shows just how much you value your child’s education.

This 5-star designation is not a finish line but a milestone on our journey to provide the best possible education for our children. It's a testament to what we can accomplish when we work together. Thank you for being such an essential part of our school family.

Congratulations to Mrs. Stensrude and Mrs. Riley for being chosen as JJB’s Educator of the Year nominees for the CCSD Starlight Awards. We are very proud of their accomplishments and commitment to our students! Go Jaguars!

Congratulations to Ms. Carlton, Ms. Meagan, Mrs. Tabeek and especially to the Book Jaguars 2.0 on winning their semi-final round!

These students were tasked with reading 8 books and participating in several quiz "battles." They won all 3 rounds at last night's event!

We are so proud of you and cannot wait to cheer you on May 1st in the district Battle of the Books matches.

If she wins, her art will be featured on the Sphere, our art program will get funds for next year, and our students get a field trip to the Sphere. Please vote every day until March 24 at 11:59 pm. XO Student Design Challenge | Elementary School | Sphere Learn about Sphere's XO Student Design Challenge for Elementary School students in Las Vegas. Eight winners will be selected & have their art showcased on Sphere.

We are extremely proud of GATE, student council, and their families for participating in the annual PB&J-a-Thon to give back to the Las Vegas community last night. 835 sandwiches were made to give to those in need. Thank you to Tarkanian MS for organizing the event and including JJB! Thank you to our student council advisors, Mrs. Ferrari and Mrs. Tabeek for leading this event!
