Together We Thrive is Saturday, October 24, and the STEM, Career & Resource Fair is completely FREE for youth, young adults and families.

Foster Care Chamber is bringing together hands-on STEM, eSports, drones, employers, career opportunities, education, community resources and organizations from across Southern Nevada. They’re also helping launch the Spirit of St. Louis 100th Anniversary celebration and STEM initiative.

This is really built for youth ages 16–24 who are preparing for adulthood, careers and life after foster care.

If you want to learn about bugs, Christian is your guy. He loves inspecting and caring for new bugs that he finds. Christian enjoys being outdoors whether it be riding his bike or jumping on a trampoline. He loves playing with his toy cars and enjoys learning everything he can about automobiles. When he grows up, he aspires to be a police officer. 🐝 🚗 👮‍♂️

I-CARE foster parents are emergency, on-call interim caregivers. 🚨 🫶🏼 🏡

They keep open beds in their homes and are ready to to nurture and care for children when they first enter foster care. This helps keep children out of our foster care shelter, Child Haven.🛏️ 🏡

☎️ When I-CARE foster parents receive a phone call that there is a child, teen, or siblings in need of a temporary home, they ultimately take on the role of parenting the children during their transition into foster care.

I-CARE providers will do things like take kids to the doctor, to therapy, to school, help establish daycare for the child, and provide all of the basic needs and care the children need during this incredibly challenging time. 🏥 🏫 🧸
