Our DPS team had a ROAR connecting with students and families, passing out treats and celebrating Halloween with our community!

We even had an unexpected prehistoric party crasher when an inflatable dinosaur stomped onto the scene! 😂

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink. It’s about empowering individuals with knowledge, encouraging early detection and reminding everyone that their health matters.

DPS is looking for a detail-oriented Budget Analyst to help manage department finances, guide budget planning and support key operational decisions.

· Manage inventory and supplies

· Oversee a budget of more than $100 million

· Conduct payroll audits and oversee purchasing and commissary transactions

· Assist with grant applications and compliance

· Supervise a team of four in the Business Office

Salary Range: $78,957.58–$102,645.92 annually

Today, the Department of Public Safety was proud to attend the grand opening of One Safe Place (3820 Meadows Lane), Nevada’s first affiliated Family Justice Center! 💜

This historic milestone for SafeNest and our community represents a major step forward in supporting survivors of domestic violence and their families.

By bringing critical resources and services together under one roof, One Safe Place will help remove barriers to assistance, provide a more coordinated approach to survivor care, strengthen offender accountability and ultimately save lives.

At DPS, we recognize the importance of collaboration, advocacy and ensuring those experiencing violence have access to the support and resources they need to rebuild their lives.

Last week, DPS celebrated the incredible individuals who make our DPS Volunteer Program such a success! 💙

Since the program’s inception, our dedicated volunteers have contributed an outstanding 1,680.50 hours of service — equivalent to more than 70 days of continuous service! 👏

From supporting training and recruitment to community outreach, public safety initiatives, the Citizens Police Academy and countless special projects, our volunteers continue to make a lasting impact throughout the Department and the community we serve.

A special congratulations to our Bronze Milestone Medal recipients! 🏅 These outstanding volunteers each completed at least 40 hours of service and the required training to earn this recognition:
