Fire Station 2 has a new engine! 🚒

Fire Engine 2 was welcomed into service with a traditional push-in ceremony, a fire service tradition dating back to the 1800s that continues today.

The Fire Station 2 crew was joined by the Ward 1 Councilman, Brian Knudsen, Fire Chief Gray and fellow members to push the engine into the station, officially welcoming it into service.

These ceremonies honor the dedication of our firefighters while marking the arrival of new equipment to help keep our community safe. As older engines retire, replacements are planned in advance to ensure our fire fleet stays up to date and ready to respond to emergencies when needed.

Daily Tip for : On a flight? Keep it in sight! 🛫🔌
