PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Residents of the City of Latrobe are advised to carefully consider where they choose to make fire department donations.

While the Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Department is currently soliciting donations from residents within the City of Latrobe with a letter in your mail (picture of the letter in the comments), it is important to understand that Lloydsville is not the City of Latrobe's primary fire response agency. Additionally, Lloydsville receives financial support through a fire tax collected in Unity Township, while the City of Latrobe does not have a dedicated fire tax to support its fire protection services.

The City of Latrobe Fire Department relies heavily on the support of city residents, businesses, and community partners to maintain equipment, training, and emergency response capabilities that directly serve the citizens of Latrobe.

Residents with questions regarding fire protection services, department funding, or charitable donations are encouraged to contact the City of Latrobe Fire Department for additional information.

Thank you for your continued support of local emergency services and the firefighters who serve our community.
