Showing up matters. Shoutout to the Top 5 Responders in September. Thank you for answering the call and putting in the work!

Great reminder from Billings Fire Department.

**FRIENDLY REMINDER: SLOW DOWN. PAY ATTENTION. LIVES DEPEND ON IT.

These photos show the aftermath of an SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) being run over by a vehicle at an emergency scene.

Thankfully, this was equipment and not a firefighter.

When you approach an emergency scene, please remember that firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and other emergency responders may be working just feet away from moving traffic.

We ask every driver to:
- 🚨 Slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles.
- 🚨 Stay alert and eliminate distractions.
- 🚨 Follow directions from emergency personnel.
- 🚨 Never drive through an emergency scene unless directed to do so.
- 🚨 Give responders the space they need to work safely.

Remember: Montana law requires drivers to slow down and move over when approaching qualifying emergency vehicles. It's not just a courtesy. It's the law.

An air pack can be replaced. A life cannot.

Our firefighters show up every day to protect your families. Please help protect ours.

🚒❤️ THANK YOU, LAUREL! ❤️🚒

What an incredible evening at our Safety Complex Open House!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night to visit, explore the apparatus, meet our first responders, and enjoy some fun with us!

Seeing the smiles, excitement, and curiosity from the kids (and adults!) is a great reminder of why we love what we do.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support our community shows Laurel Fire Rescue and all of our first responders. We are proud to serve this community, and even prouder to be part of it!

🔥 Thank you for making our open house a success!

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

For women in the fire service, awareness matters.

Firefighters can face occupational exposures to chemicals associated with an increased risk of cancer, including breast cancer.

One study found a 46% increase in breast cancer among female fire fighters compared with the general population.*

This month, Laurel Fire Rescue stands with the survivors, the fighters, and every family affected. 💗

Early detection matters. Nobody fights alone.
