The Laurel Library is closed. The Library Board voted to close the library because of not enough volunteers and very low circulation. We are sorry to have to do this but it is not feasible to keep it open any longer. If you have anything checked out you can put them in the drop box in front of the library.

Winter hours: Wednesday 4-6 PM & Saturdays 9-11 AM The library also has a wide assortment of new release DVD's and Children's DVD's.
The Laurel Community Library has a good selection of Adult fiction and nonfiction as well as Children's books. If there is a new release, an author, or a title that you're looking for, please let the library know, and we will try to get if for you.

We read about pumpkins and turkeys today! We created "spookley" the square pumpkin, colored a pumpkin, made turkey hats and turkey treats!! 🎃 🦃

Thank you to the ISU extension office for presenting about space and rockets today!! Kids got to make their own straw rocket and practice shooting them through hoola hoops! Thanks for the great turnout this week for story hour! It was a BLAST!

Yesterday we learned about planets and marble painted our planets! Today we became astronomers using our telescopes and rockets! We also created our very own space aliens! Join us tomorrow for the final program from the ISU extension office to learn more about space!

Blast off!!! Monday we created rockets and learned about space. Tuesday we became astronaunts and went to the moon! Today we will be learning about planets and constallations!
Because of pop and other drinks that stain the carpet in city hall/library,the City council voted to only allow water in City Hall. This includes adults and children.
There will be signs posted. Please help by abiding by this rule. Thank You.

Today we read Drum City and created our own drums! We also learned about the American flag! We colored our own flags and made patriotic wreths! Tomorrow we will be frogs!

Farm animal lessons at the library! We had cows, pigs, ducks and sheep characters at the library today! We learned how to shoo pigs into their pins! Tomorrow we will learn about the American flag and create a patriotic craft! Hope to see you there!
