Scotland Crimestoppers

Scotland Crimestoppers will be set up again this year selling our famous Huli-Huli Chicken and Italian Sausage with Peppers and Onions. In addition, this year we have added Fried Collard Wraps, a local favorite.

We will have a "Jail Cell" on site where you could pay to have someone "arrested" who then has to "bond out" to be released by raising funds. All parties must be on site and all in good clean fun. All proceeds will go toward the Scotland Crimestoppers Organization. Please stop by our tents for more information.

Well another year of the NC Crimestoppers Association in the books. We had a great week and look forward to bringing ideas of what we learned back to the residents of Scotland County. Scotland Crimestoppers walked away with four awards: Productivity Award, Media Award WLNC 95.1, Most Innovative Fundraiser, and Best Promotional Idea. Looking forward to next year in the mountains

Officers with the Laurinburg Police Department responded to Xplicit Sports Bar and Grill on McColl Road after receiving a report of a shooting and a person shot early Saturday morning.

Upon arrival, officers found Ricky Swindell, 46yoa, inside the business suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Swindell was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators said they’ve identified Michael Anthony Robinson Jr., 36, of Wagram, as the suspect in the shooting.

Police have obtained warrants charging Robinson with first-degree murder, discharging a fi***rm within an enclosure to incite fear, possession of a fi***rm by a convicted felon and going armed to the terror of the public.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Then on the same day, the male with red hat on backwards entered Roses and removed merchandise without paying (1st Picture).
