The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is developing a new statewide Active Transportation Plan to guide the future of walking, biking, and rolling in North Carolina. This plan will be the first of its kind since the 2013 WalkBikeNC Plan.

We are asking North Carolina residents to share their active transportation stories and photos. The stories and photos we collect will be an important way for us to communicate the value of active transportation to leaders and decisionmakers across the state. Selected stories and photos may be featured in the final plan AND you could win a $100 gift card to your local bike shop or outdoor store. (See contest disclaimer and official rules on the submission website.)

Happy First Responder's Day to all of our staff as well as all of our fellow departments here in Scotland County! And throw in World-wide to that as well! By luck of the draw, D-Shift was working today and enjoyed a Papa John's pizza lunch on the house. We're so thankful for everyone.
