The Lavon Fire Department is proud to recognize three of your firefighters who recently attended a Swift Water Rescue class hosted by Rowlett Fire Department.

Continued training helps our members stay prepared for the challenges they may face while serving the Lavon community. We’re proud to support our members as they continue expanding their skills and certifications!

Thank you to Rowlett Fire Department for hosting this valuable training!

We're expecting a lot of moisture over the next days. Some of these storms may be strong, with very heavy rainfall being a concern for some flooding in the area. Be safe on the roads, and don't drive on flooded roadways!

🇺🇸👨🏻‍🚒This morning, several firefighters from the Lavon Fire Department proudly participated in the annual OKC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Each member climbed 110 stories in honor of the heroes who responded on September 11, 2001.

This powerful event honors the 343 firefighters, as well as the countless first responders and civilians, who lost their lives that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to climb in their honor and carry their memory forward 🕊️

Twenty-five years after Sept. 11, 2001, we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the first responders and service members who answered the call, and recognize the resilience of a nation forever changed by that day.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
