This summer, Family Services of the Merrimack Valley is offering a free Youth Development Summer Program for Lawrence youth ages 11–17! Through engaging activities, interactive discussions, and leadership-building experiences, participants will strengthen communication and decision-making skills while learning in a supportive and inclusive environment. Transportation, breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided, and space is limited to 36 participants. Learn more below and apply today!

This move allows us to better serve our community with a welcoming, accessible space for families to connect with resources, support, and services.

🎉 Exciting News, Lawrence Families! 🎉

The Amigos Mentoring Program is officially opening enrollment for our next program cycle! We are now welcoming applications for youth ages 11 to 14 who are interested in joining a fun, supportive, and empowering after-school mentoring program.

At Amigos, students have the opportunity to:
- Build meaningful friendships
- Explore new activities and experiences
- Develop leadership and life skills
- Receive mentorship and support
- Grow in confidence both inside and outside the classroom

This is a wonderful opportunity for middle school youth in the Lawrence community to connect, learn, and thrive in a positive environment. Spots are limited, so don’t miss the chance to enroll your child today!

Because of you, this year’s Spring Gala was an incredible success! ✨

Together, our community raised more than $118,000 to support children and families across the Merrimack Valley. 💜

From the beautiful atmosphere to the laughter, stories, and heartfelt words shared by one of our mentoring matches - along with the opportunity to honor long-time volunteer, Connie LeMaitre - the evening was truly unforgettable. We are so grateful to everyone who attended and gave in every way.

Our young parents group recently joined UMass Nutrition Educator Evelin Diaz, for a “Thrive Through Wellness” group.

The group learned practical guidance for nourishing their babies from birth and beyond. Participants enjoyed a delicious healthy meal, along with fun icebreakers, connection-building, and exciting raffle prizes that added even more energy to the group!

A big thank you to everyone who joined and helped make the session both informative and uplifting.

Family Services’ youth group has been hard at work building their voices and leadership skills! 💬✨

Participants recently completed the VOICES (Valuing Our Insights for Civic Engagement and Success) curriculum where they explore their identities, strengthen their confidence, and recognize their power to create positive change in their communities.

We’re proud of their growth and can’t wait to see how they continue to make an impact! 🌟
