Homelessness rarely begins with a single decision. More often, it begins when life takes an unexpected turn.
A sudden job loss, an unaffordable rent increase, a medical emergency, or the loss of a relationship can quickly put housing out of reach. For families already struggling to make ends meet, even one unexpected expense can become a tipping point.
Housing shortages and rising living costs leave many people with few options when hardship strikes. And when someone has no financial cushion or support system to fall back on, finding a safe place to live can become an overwhelming challenge.
Homelessness doesn't define a person's character, their work ethic, or their worth.
Understanding how people lose their housing is the first step toward building a community where fewer people fall through the cracks.
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. π
