In recognition of National Cancer Survivors Day, we want to take a moment to celebrate every single survivor.
Early detection is one of the most powerful tools we have. Routine cancer screenings mean more treatment options, more healthy days, and more time with the people you love.
Not sure what screenings you need? The National Council on Aging has a great resource to help older adults know what to ask for and when: https://www.ncoa.org/article/prevention-how-older-adults-can-reduce-their-risk-of-cancer/
Through our Community Champions Series, we’re highlighting the leaders and community partners helping older adults stay nourished, connected, and supported through Meals on Wheels America.

Thank you so much for recognizing us during Older Americans Month!
This month, the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize AgeSpan as our Chamber for Good Nonprofit of the Month, sponsored by Ruggiero Family Memorial Home.
For decades, AgeSpan has made a tremendous impact throughout our communities by helping older adults, and their caregivers, access the support and resources they need to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
Programs like Chamber for Good reflect what the chamber is truly about — not just supporting businesses, but strengthening the entire community through meaningful connections and collaboration.
Thank you to Ruggiero Family Memorial Home for sponsoring this initiative and helping us shine a light on organizations that make such a lasting difference across the region.
The grand finale of a year-long music series at the Andover Housing Authority featured songs from Mac the Knife to Sweet Caroline to Save Me by Jelly Roll. Musician Randy Hawkes Entertainment wrapped up the series, which was made possible thanks to a $3,000 grant from Andover Senior Community Friends and the Andover Home for Aged People. Residents sang and clapped along, while enjoying a catered lunch from LaRosa’s in Andover. The event was organized by AgeSpan Resident Service Coordinator Margaret Raso.
