Tennessee State University invites applications for the role of Program Assistant 4-H Youth Development. The successful candidate will be a member of TSU and Lawrence County Extension. This position is 100% 4-H Youth Development. This position will be responsible for implementing, evaluating, and reporting 4-H Youth Development educational programs as needed in the county. In addition, this position includes executing programs, events, and activities through traditional 4-H clubs, project groups, educational workshops, camps, conferences, and special interest classes. He/She will perform other related duties as required by County, Regional, and State Extension Administrators.

Join the 2027 Lawrence County Master Gardener Training Program! Classes begin in February 2027, and registration is now open.

As a Tennessee Master Gardener, you'll receive in-depth horticulture training, participate in community projects, continue learning through educational programs, and meet others who share your love of gardening.

🍀 🎯 💲 📈 Please help us honor those who provided our matching funds and meet our $1,000 goal! We HAVE matching funds!!! They haven't shown up yet on the donation board because we sent a check, and it takes time to make it through the system at The 4-H Foundation. (They're amazing, but I'm sure they're dealing with a TON of checks and other stuff due to Giving Tuesday!!!)

Think about any fun experiences you had in 4-H and give so we can keep providing fun learning experiences for youth TODAY! What we do is needed now more than ever! ✨✨

The application window for the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP) opens soon.

Producers may apply online only from Oct. 1-7.

TAEP helps Tennessee farmers improve their operations, strengthen the state’s agricultural economy and support a reliable local food supply.

Updates for the 2026-27 program year include:

• Reduced minimum requirements for certain sectors
• A new Livestock Fencing program for livestock producers
• A name change from Livestock Solutions to Farming Solutions
