We had a great start to the week hosting Adrienne Hood as our "Principal for a Day" on Monday!

Adrienne—General Manager of Sugarloaf Mills for Simon Property Group and active Gwinnett community leader—spent the day stepping into Ms. Duckworth’s shoes to see what goes into keeping Corley running every day. She even dropped by a classroom to hang out with our students and read them a story.

Thank you, Adrienne, for spending your time with us and for everything you do to support our community!

📖✨ Voices, creativity, and inspiration! ✨📖

Our 4th grade students recently brought their original poetry to life through engaging presentations! 🎤📝 They shared their poems aloud, used visuals and evidence from their writing to explain the inspiration and ideas behind their work.

We’re so proud of their creativity, confidence, and willingness to share their voices! 💙👏

From crazy hats & hair and wild socks to repping our favorite teams, standing out in red, and unleashing our inner superheroes, our school was full of spirit this week. We loved seeing everyone come together to celebrate making healthy choices and living a proud, drug-free life! 🎀

Our Corley Elementary Robotics Team is hard at work preparing for their upcoming regional tournament. 🤖🌱

Under this season’s theme, Bio Glow, students meet weekly to explore conservation and environmental protection. Each session combines hands-on engineering—building and coding Lego robots to solve game board missions—with an action research project focused on protecting local wildlife habitats right here in Gwinnett County.

We’re proud of the problem-solving, teamwork, and environmental stewardship these students demonstrate every week. Stay tuned as tournament day approaches!

Schedules and lesson plans keep our classrooms running smoothly, but some of the most memorable learning happens when curiosity takes over. 🐸

When Ms. Fisher spotted a toad on campus, she paused the routine to give students a real-world look at local wildlife. They got to practice careful observation and scientific inquiry in real time.

It was a great reminder that real learning happens when we make space for natural curiosity. Shoutout to the teachers who stay flexible and turn everyday moments into meaningful learning opportunities!

(No toads were harmed in the making of this lesson! Our amphibious guest was safely released back outside.)

Safety in action! 🚌

In recognition of National Bus Safety Week, we’re highlighting our recent bus evacuation drill. Corley Patriots practiced following driver instructions, remaining calm, and exiting the bus safely in an emergency.
