Thank you to everyone who came out to knock doors with us in House District 64 this weekend! We had a great turnout, and I'm so grateful for every volunteer who gave up part of their weekend to speak with our neighbors about the importance of this election on November 3rd.

A special thank you to Representative and gubernatorial candidate Cyndi Munson for coming to Lawton and spending time with our community.

Election Day is November 3, and there's still a lot of ground to cover. Join us these final 3 weekends: https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/1005410/

Yesterday’s door-knocking lesson… 💙

Yesterday I knocked 60 persuasion doors and put out 12 more signs across House District 64.
But I also learned something I didn’t know.

Do you know what a blue porch light can mean?

I noticed this one while having an insightful conversation with a Mom of an autistic young man who was anxious to get to the library to see his friends.

For some families, that blue light is more than decoration. It can be a visual reminder that someone in the home may have autism — something first responders may need to recognize when answering a call.

Because a person who doesn’t respond to commands immediately, avoids eye contact, becomes overwhelmed by lights or noise, or reacts differently under stress may not be refusing to cooperate.

That is why first-responder training and awareness matter. Recognizing what may be happening can help an officer, firefighter, or EMT slow the situation down, communicate differently, and avoid unnecessarily escalating it.

Another thing I learned simply by knocking on a door and listening.

Did you know what the blue light represented? 💙

Step by step. Door by door. 64’s Worth Fighting For.

For years I coached Lawton kids in basketball. I drove vans full of players to tournaments all over Oklahoma, spent my evenings and weekends in gyms, and pushed them to believe they could go further than anyone expected.

I am running for office because Lawton's kids deserve fully funded schools, real opportunities after graduation, and a community that invests in their future. I have spent 30 years here building that future one family, one home, and one kid at a time.

I know what it takes to invest in the next generation and what is at stake when we fail to do so. I am ready to take that fight to the Capitol, because our children deserve better. Let's go build it together!

Save the date and make a plan with family and friends to vote together ❤️

🇺🇸 It'll be here before we know it: Election Day is Tuesday, November 3! 🇺🇸

There's more than one decision on the ballot. Lawton voters will have federal and statewide races, judicial questions and two state questions to consider.

If you live in Ward 2, you'll also vote in the runoff for your City Council representative. Now's a good time to check your registration and preview what's coming!

Sunday I found myself behind two podiums — in two very different rooms, but both reminded me why community matters so much to me.

I started the day with my ZOE family, sharing in a place grounded in faith, encouragement, and service.

Later, I stood behind another podium at the CCVC Town Hall at VFW Post 5263, listening, speaking, and spending time with people who care deeply about our veterans, our community, and the future of Southwest Oklahoma.

Two podiums. Two communities that mean a great deal to me. One very full Sunday.

I’m grateful for every opportunity to listen, learn, speak, and stay connected to the people who make Lawton home.

And somewhere in between all of that, I had to smile when I saw those three yard signs standing together against another beautiful Oklahoma sunset. ❤️

Faith. Service. Community. Home.
