10-06-26 Bethel Road VFD responded to a kitchen fire within a residence. Upon arrival there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the back corner of the home. Units first on scene began a defensive attack. Once the second due departments arrived, a interior attack was started. The interior attack was hampered by the multiple renovations done to the home over the years. Fire was able to get into void spaces and extend into areas fire attack crews could not gain access. No injuries to the residents who had evacuated before our arrival. Sadly the residents are now displaced. HUGE thank you to Cox's Store Volunteer Fire Department, and Hulen VFD, Comanche County/Lawton Emergency Management, and Valley View Volunteer Fire Department for their hard work.

6-18-26 Bethel Road VFD responded to a fire contained within a oven of a home. The home owner quickly called 911, closed the oven door and evacuated with her children. Upon arrival we entered the residence with a extinguisher. Inside we found light smoke and no active fire. The bottom element of the oven was overheating and sparking. The power was cut to the home. After ventilating and checking for extension we determined that it was safe for the family to return inside. Power was restored to the home except for the cook stove. No injuries reported.
