CALLING ALL RURAL TRANSIT AGENCIES!

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is conducting research for the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP Project B-57) on Innovative Marketing and Customer Communication Strategies for Rural Transit, and they need your input!

The goal is to create practical guidance and a toolkit to help rural transit agencies strengthen how they market their services and connect with riders. To get there, TTI wants to learn:

- How rural agencies are currently marketing and communicating with customers
- What practices are working well, what challenges exist, and what resources are needed

The more rural transit operators who respond, the more useful the final resources will be. Please take a few minutes to share your experience and help spread the word to other rural transit colleagues!

ODOT is proud to join the regional "Food Is Medicine" initiative in Southern Oklahoma through our Mobility Management Program. Our mobility managers worked with local transit agencies to remove transportation barriers for individuals in rural communities, leveraging valuable regional partnerships and the MetaFund Pay for Success program.

Transportation can be one of the biggest barriers to accessing food for homebound individuals, and our Mobility Management Program is working to make a difference in communities through proactive outreach and partnerships.

Thank you Atoka County Times for shedding light on our role in the “Food Is Medicine” initiative and our local transit network partners.
