Updated our severe risk area through tonight. Much of western & northern OK is out of the risk but keeping a large Slight Risk area across western north Texas into Central OK mainly south of I-40. Still a risk for heavy rain producing flash flooding

A Special Thank You to Our Volunteers

I know this post is a little late, but I wanted to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank everyone who came out the other day to help set up the Cooling Station for the Comanche Nation Fair.

There were only two of us working on the setup, and the additional hands made a tremendous difference. Your willingness to come out, give your time, and help us get everything prepared was truly appreciated.

Preparing for an event of this size takes teamwork, and we are grateful for those who step forward to support our community when help is needed. Your time, effort, and dedication did not go unnoticed.

On behalf of the Comanche Nation Fire Department & Emergency Management, thank you for your assistance and for helping us provide a safe and comfortable environment for everyone attending the Comanche Nation Fair.

We sincerely appreciate each of you and the support you continue to give our community.

IMPORTANT BURN BAN NOTICE

Although trust land is not subject to the county burn ban, the Comanche Nation Fire Department strongly urges everyone on trust land to follow the same restrictions.

Current dry conditions create a significant fire danger. Any outdoor fire can quickly spread beyond your control, threatening lives, homes, property, and emergency responders. Anyone who starts a fire may be held responsible for any resulting damage if it escapes their property.

Please treat the county burn ban as if it applies to trust land. Take this warning seriously and refrain from all outdoor burning until conditions improve.
