Earlier today, our Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Victor Ave. as part of an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics within the City of Lebanon.

The investigation centered on a 47-year-old Lebanon man who is a convicted felon.

During the ex*****on of the search warrant, investigators discovered approximately 76 grams of suspected crack and powder co***ne. Several hydrocodone and oxycodone pills were also located.

Multiple charges against the individual are pending at this time.

We appreciate the dedicated and coordinated efforts of our officers and investigators as they continue working to keep dangerous drugs out of our community!

We’re extremely excited to announce the promotion of David Sofer to Detective!

David has proudly served the citizens of Lebanon since 2022. Prior to his promotion, David served as a patrol officer. While on patrol, he was a member of our S.W.A.T. Team and served as a Crime Scene Technician.

We’re confident Detective Sofer will excel in his new role and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to have as he investigates crimes and serves the citizens of Lebanon.

Congratulations, Detective David Sofer, on this well-deserved promotion!

UPDATE 8:55 p.m. - The right two lanes of I-40 WB at MM 234 will be reopening soon while crews continue to clean the left two lanes. Still an unknown timeframe for cleanup efforts to be complete.

** TRAFFIC ALERT **

I-40 WB at MM 234 will be shut down. A semi involved in a wreck has leaked a large amount of fluid from the tractor casuing part of the interstate to become slick.

Crews are on the way to the scene to clean the roadway.

We appreciate the public’s assistance. The suspect has been identified.

The Lebanon Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual pictured below, who is a suspect in recent vehicle burglaries on North Cumberland Street.

The suspect is believed to be driving a dark-colored pickup truck equipped with a work bed pictured below.

Our 15th Judicial CAC staff had a great time at National Night Out at Don Fox Park with Lebanon Police Department Mt. Juliet Police Lebanon Fire Department and many other friends! It's always good to run into MJ Lucas, Susie, and so many others!

Our community showed up in a big way for National Night Out, and we’re incredibly thankful for everyone who came out to enjoy a meal and connect with first responders from across Wilson County.

Events like National Night Out provide an opportunity to build new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and continue growing the partnership between our community and public safety agencies. We can’t thank our community enough for the support.

We’re also grateful for all of the first responder agencies that joined us and helped make this year’s event a success.

A special thank you goes to Hawk Specialty Services, PFG, Sam’s Club, and Rolling Thunder Carts for their generous support of this year’s National Night Out.

Finally, a huge shoutout to our Lebanon Police Department team. Officers, dispatchers, civilian support staff, and our CERT volunteers were dedicated to making this event run as smoothly as possible.We can’t thank our team enough for their hard work!
