Have you ever explored the Highlands Trail? It now spans over 180 miles in New Jersey, New York, and the adjacent states using existing trails, new trails, and road connections. On Tuesday, October 20, join naturalist Laura for a guided hike. We will meet at Spruce Run Recreation Area’s Tower Parking Lot and hike northeast along the beach and through shrubs and pine woods in the Recreation Area. After a short road walk, we will enter Union Furnace Preserve, a County park that is wooded with about 300 feet of elevation gain. We will meet our shuttle driver at Van Syckles Road and ride back to the cars in a County van. This hike is about 3.5 miles. Naturalist Laura will share fascinating nature information along the way! This program is co-sponsored by NJ State Parks, Spruce Run Recreation Area. Sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/325smk4f.
