Free Teen Anxiety Grounding kits available at the children's desk for teens ages 12-18 who experience anxiety.

Using funds from the System Cares Grant we put together Anxiety Grounding kits for teens experiencing anxiety. Inside, one will find several different grounding tools when faced with anxiety. We have included the following grounding items:
Calming face spritz
Lavender inhaler
Fidget toys
Plushy (texture)
Candy or gum (chewing)
Textured stickers
Grounding technique cards
Items included were chosen from research from clinical suggestions of ways to help ground one’s self when experiencing extreme anxiety.
These free kits are for teens ages 12-18 who experience anxiety and would like to try different techniques that may help when feeling overwhelmed. The kits are on a first come first served basis, while supplies last. Teens may request one at the children’s desk.

Teens age 13-18, join us for our first Teen Art Lab where we will alter prints for the Spooky Season! All materials and snacks will be provided. We will meet in the teen section of the library at 3:30 PM.

Today is National Mental Health Day-
