Please join us in welcoming Officer Austin Hafley to the Lebanon Police Department family! 👮‍♂️💙

Today, Officer Hafley was officially sworn in at Lebanon City Hall, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter with our department.

We are proud to welcome him to our team and look forward to having him serve our community alongside the dedicated men and women of the Lebanon Police Department. We are anxious to see him grow, develop, and build his career with our agency!

💙 Blue & You Meetup Recap! 💙

Yesterday’s Blue & You meetup was a great success! Memories were made, laughter was shared, and a great time was had by all! We love seeing these young men build friendships, strengthen bonds, and enjoy spending time together through our mentorship program for males in grades 6 through 12.

We want to take this opportunity to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Lee’s Famous Recipe for generously feeding all the kids and everyone who attended! Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated, and we are thankful to have community partners who help make these events special. 🍗❤️

We also want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to FRYSC for all of their help and continued support! We truly could not do this without you, and we are so grateful for everything you do to help make our Blue & You program a success! 💙

And finally, THANK YOU to everyone who attended and to all those who helped out! Your time, support, and willingness to be involved mean so much to us. It takes a community working together to make a difference, and we are thankful to have so many wonderful people supporting our young men.

Blue & You is a mentorship program for males in grades 6–12, focused on building positive relationships, developing life skills, and making a lasting difference in the lives of our young men.

🚨 Now Hiring Dispatchers 🚨

The Lebanon Police Department is accepting applications for Dispatchers through 4pm, Friday, October 23rd.

This position serves as the first point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls. Applicants must be able to remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Minimum Requirements:
🚨 At least 18 years of age
🚨 U.S. citizen
🚨 High school diploma or GED
🚨 Ability to pass a background check, polygraph, drug screen, and medical exam

DOCJT Academy: Applicants must successfully complete four weeks training in telecommunications and operation of LINK/NCIC. Mandatory completion is a requirement.

Must Have:

✨Strong communication skills
✨ Ability to multitask
✨ High morals, character, and integrity
✨ Good judgment
✨ Emotional self-control
✨ Active listening skills
✨ Problem-solving ability
✨ Critical thinking
✨ Patience and calmness under pressure

🚨 Must possess a valid operator’s license with a clean driving record
🚨 Ability to pass a background check, polygraph, drug screen, medical exam and pass a physical agility test (POPS)
🚨 No felony convictions. You must not be prohibited by state or federal law from possessing a fi***rm

DOCJT Academy: Applicants must successfully complete 20 weeks training in telecommunications and operation of LINK/NCIC. Mandatory completion is a requirement.

Must Have:

✨ The ability to de-escalate volatile situations, listen actively and treat the public with courtesy, empathy and respect
✨ Must prioritize moral character, honesty and a respect for the law.
✨ Must be able to handle extreme stress, make swift critical decisions, and bounce back from challenging or traumatic situations.

We are excited to welcome Chloe Wise and Tori Gribbins to the Lebanon Police Department family! 👏💙

Both Chloe and Tori graduated yesterday from the Public Safety Dispatch Academy at the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond, Kentucky.

We are proud of all their hard work and dedication and look forward to watching them grow in their new roles. Please help us congratulate Chloe and Tori and wish them both the best as they begin their careers with the Lebanon Police Department!

🐷 Another Ham Days in the books! 🐷

As Ham Days 2026 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, supported, and helped make this year’s festival a success! It takes a lot of hard work and dedication from so many people to make Ham Days happen, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.

A special thank you to the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association for bringing food for our crew on both Saturday and Sunday! 🍽️ Your generosity helped keep our officers and staff fueled throughout the weekend. As always, the food was absolutely delicious and greatly appreciated! ❤️

We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and appreciate everyone who helped make this another memorable Ham Days.
