🇺🇸 VOTE NO ON ALL THREE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS 🇺🇸

As you head to the polls for early voting, remember that three proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution are on your ballot.

Here’s a quick reminder of what they address:

🔴 Amendment #1 — Abortion & Reproductive Freedom
Would establish a constitutional right to “reproductive freedom,” including abortion. We believe this amendment goes too far and would place sweeping language permanently into Virginia’s Constitution.

🔴 Amendment #2 — Marriage
Would replace Virginia’s existing constitutional definition of marriage with new language recognizing marriage between two adults regardless of s*x, gender, or race.

🔴 Amendment #3 — Voting Rights
Would automatically restore voting rights to individuals convicted of felonies once they are released from incarceration, replacing Virginia’s current restoration process.

A constitutional amendment is not simply another law. Once approved by voters, it becomes part of the Virginia Constitution and is much more difficult to change.

We encourage voters to read the full amendments, understand what they would change, and make an informed decision.

The Russell County Republican Committee recommends voting NO on all three.
🇺🇸 NO on #1. NO on #2. NO on #3. 🇺🇸

With Election Day approaching, it's important to take a few minutes to look at how elected representatives have voted on issues that affect our nation.

The graphic below highlights several pieces of legislation considered by the U.S. House of Representatives, along with the voting breakdowns from each political party.

Some of these results are particularly concerning. Legislation addressing medical care for babies born alive following attempted abortions, protecting fairness in women's athletics, strengthening election integrity, and addressing dangerous drugs like fentanyl should all be matters worthy of serious consideration.

For those in Virginia's 9th Congressional District, Congressman Morgan Griffith voted YES on all eight pieces of legislation highlighted in this graphic.

Every elected official has a responsibility to the people they represent, and every voter has a responsibility to be informed.

As Election Day approaches, take the time to look beyond the headlines and political rhetoric. Read about the issues, examine the legislation, research the candidates, and consider the direction our country is heading.

An informed electorate is essential to a strong representative government. The decisions made at the ballot box have consequences that extend far beyond a single election and can shape the future of our communities, our Commonwealth, and our nation.

Be informed. Be engaged. And most importantly, make your voice heard on Election Day! 🇺🇸

Rainy and windy weekend ahead for us, Russell County. Stay safe!

🌧️ Heads up, District 3!

We're expecting some windy, rainy weather this weekend, so I wanted to share a few reminders to help everyone prepare.

Nothing to panic about, but it's always better to take a few precautions before the weather moves in.

Please take a few minutes to secure anything outdoors that could blow around in this gusty wind, and don't forget to check on your neighbors who may need a little extra help.

Stay safe, everyone! ❤️

A little photo catch-up! 📸

We enjoyed having Congressman Morgan Griffith in Russell County on several occasions last couple of months!

From visiting with folks at the Russell County Fair, to joining us for breakfast, and even taking in some Friday night football at Lebanon High School!

We appreciate Congressman Griffith taking the time to visit our communities, connect with local residents, and hear about the things that matter to the people of Russell County.
