πŸ“’ Attention Leeds Residents!

We now have a phone number and instructions for reporting BNSF trains that block both railroad crossings in town.

If you encounter a train blocking both crossings, please take a few minutes to report it to BNSF. If enough of us report these incidents, hopefully BNSF will recognize the ongoing issue and take steps to correct it.

πŸ“ž BNSF Phone Number: 1-800-832-5452

How to report:
Call the number above.
Select Option 3 – Train Blocking a Crossing.
Listen to the prompts and follow the instructions.
Provide the crossing DOT number: 102579.

We understand how frustrating and inconvenient it is when both crossings are blocked, and we encourage residents to report these occurrences when they happen.

The more reports BNSF receives, the more awareness we can bring to this issue. Hopefully, together, we can help encourage a solution!

Please share this information with your fellow Leeds residents! πŸš‚

πŸ“£ Just a heads up!

Thank you for your understanding, and enjoy the Leeds Harvest Days celebrations this weekend!

πŸ“£ Just a reminder to property owners: When mowing your lawn along the street, please blow grass clippings AWAY FROM THE STREET.

It is unlawful to deposit, throw, blow, or place grass, leaves, compost, brush, litter, or other debris onto a public street.

Did you know this type of debris can plug storm sewers, causing problems not only for you, but also for property owners downstream? Grass clippings and other debris can also damage the street sweeper.

πŸ—“οΈ Please take note and do your part to help keep our streets free of grass clippings and other debris. We sure appreciate your help!

⚠️ The first offense will result in a warning. A second offense will result in a $50 fee for the City to clean up the grass clippings.

Thank you for helping keep our community and streets clean!
