SLMS Families ~

We are currently hosting a service project aimed at providing menstrual products in student restrooms. To support this important initiative, we are kindly asking for donations during parent-teacher conferences.

If you are able and willing to contribute, menstrual product donations can be dropped off at the front office. Your support will help us ensure that we can replenish supplies on a bi-weekly basis and continue to meet the needs of our female students.

Donation Window:
October 21st and 22nd

Congratulations SLMS C Team Girls Volleyball! This weekend they took 1st place in their tournament, winning all five games and only losing one set the entire day!

The SLMS volleyball coaching staff could not be more proud of this group of girls! They played some incredible volleyball, but what made us most proud was the grit, teamwork, and determination they showed throughout the day. They fought for every point, picked each other up, and represented SLMS so well! It was so fun to watch all of their hard work pay off!

🦅💙 TODAY, WE CELEBRATE OUR TEACHERS. 💚🦅

It’s World Teachers’ Day, and we couldn’t let it pass without giving a very well-deserved shout-out to the incredible educators at SLMS.

Every day, our teachers do so much more than teach lessons. They encourage, challenge, listen, redirect, inspire, problem-solve, answer approximately 47,000 questions, and somehow keep showing up ready to do it all again tomorrow. 💙

The impact of a great teacher reaches far beyond a classroom, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, patience, creativity, and heart our SLMS teachers pour into our Falcons.

To our teachers: We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re so glad you’re part of our flock. 🦅💚 Happy World Teachers’ Day from SLMS PTA! 🍎📚

Parent Night Informational Meeting: October 6th at Lee's Summit West High School in the Library.

New Archer Clinic: October 26th 7-9pm SLMS Gym and October 28th 7-8pm SLMS Gym

Practices start November 4th every Monday & Wednesday from 8-9pm in the SLMS Gym.

If you have additional questions, please go to the Athletic Department in STAD.

If the answer is YES, we would love to have you as one of our guests on Wednesday, November 11th for our annual Veterans Day Celebration.

At Summit Lakes, we have a longstanding tradition of inviting family members of our 7th-grade students who have served, or currently serve, in any branch of the military, to spend time talking with our students and sharing their experiences.

If you or one of your family members would like to participate in this special event, please save the date and look for more details to come out soon.
