Our October monthly luncheon brought together local professionals for “Breaking the Silence: A Conversation on Mental Health,” an important discussion about recognizing mental health challenges, reducing stigma and creating more supportive environments in our workplaces and communities.

Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with local health care providers and explore resources available throughout our community at the vendor expo.

A special thank-you to our panelists, Jennifer Craig of ReDiscover, Elaine Metcalf of Pro Deo Youth Center, Justin Hoover of The Battle Within and Melanie McGraw of John Knox Village, for sharing their expertise.

Thank you to our moderator, Laura Peckham of University Health Lakewood Medical Center, for guiding this important conversation, and to Lee’s Summit PayMore/SPEEKS Technology for sponsoring the event.

We’d also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all our expo vendors for sharing their services, resources and expertise with our attendees:
