It's the last day of our official National School Nutrition Week and we have LOVED giving a little extra insight into our school cafeterias by flooding our facebook this week! We'll keep the pics coming each week so you can see how we're improving school nutrition and working to keep up with the latest trends.

Having said that...this morning check out what Prairie View Elementary is doing this week! The Pre-K kids love getting to go through the big kid line to pick up their lunch.

Check out the sweet chile asian bowl being served at PLMS today! The Kansas City Food Hub locally sourced potatoes have been seasoned and roasted on this cloudy day for a perfect comfort food and of course we have fresh cut fruit to help round it out...not pictured here, but the garden bar provides lots of items to create the perfect salad.

Pleasant Lea Elementary has really gotten into the National School Lunch theme this week...complete with having our intern dress up as the Ring Master! LOVE EVERY BIT OF THIS!! Even principal Leslie Mott made sure to go have lunch in the cafeteria. Great job Barbie and team!

Today at Mason Elementary students will have this amazing (we got to sample it) roasted zucchini with cheddar, onion powder and garlic powder. It truly is so flavorful. Wonderful job Hilda and team!

GUESS WHAT?!? It's still National School Lunch week so we are inundating our social media with pictures from our cafeterias this week...no professional photography, no "special timing", just our cafe teams taking pictures of what they do best so we can show YOU what your students are being fed.

BCMS, WINNER of the Golden Spatula this month, is keeping it simple and clean. Lots of fresh veggies, grab and go options for the students who like to get through the line quick or maybe just want something small and then plenty of hot and ready entrees waiting to be enjoyed.

SPE 5th graders Cali and Mia were happy to show off their smiles for us today as they enjoyed their alfredo, grapes, fresh veggies, sweet treat and drink (milk and juice). SPE got in on the National School Lunch Week Circus theme by dressing their cafe panther mascot up as a LION!
