February 14th LCC Luncheon featured Gene Rossi. With nearly three decades of criminal and civil litigation experience at the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), he leverages the skills he honed as a renowned federal prosecutor to primarily concentrate on matters relating to criminal defense and government investigations as a shareholder in the firm of Carlton Fields.

Event was attended by members of the public, LCC members, law enforcement and students from the Academies of Loudoun.

The community is invited to a heartfelt candlelight vigil in honor of fallen Sterling Volunteer Fire Company Firefighter Trevor Brown on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This tribute will take place at the future site of the Firefighter Brown Memorial Park, located at 347 Silver Ridge Drive, Sterling, VA. The FF Brown Memorial Park is scheduled to open at this site in Summer 2025. The event will include a moment of silence, remarks, and a communal lighting of candles as a symbol of remembrance and unity.

If you plan to attend, please keep these items in mind. ⤵️

🚗 PARKING
Public parking will be available at both Dominion High School and Seneca Ridge Middle School and is a short distance from the site. The path is easily accessible; however, walking is required to get from the parking lot to the site. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Shuttle services will not be provided, so attendees should plan accordingly.

🚧 TRAFFIC IMPACTS
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office will restrict traffic in the area of Seneca Ridge Drive and Augusta Drive to allow for safer pedestrian traffic and the staging of emergency apparatus. All attendees planning to drive to the event are encouraged to park at both Dominion High School and Seneca Ridge Middle School.

🌦 WEATHER
This event will be held rain or shine. As of now, the weather forecast shows rain throughout the day on Sunday. We encourage attendees to monitor the weather and dress appropriately for the conditions.

ATTENTION- DEALER ALERT- It's that time of year again!🍪
We have received several reports that a highly addictive substance is being distributed in our area. These substances go by several different street names such as "Thin Mints," "Tagalongs," "Samoas," "Do-si-dos," "Trefoils", and "S’mores" to name a few (though we heard this could be the last year for the S'mores). Possible side effects include but are not limited to: feelings of euphoria upon consumption, inability to “just have one,” and possible derailment of New Year resolutions to eat less sweets.
This operation is run primarily by strong, smart, fearless young women who get you in with a good cause story, and soon you’re hooked. We have information that these transactions are taking place both online and in person. While you think just one box is innocent, one box turns into two, two turns into five, and the next thing you know, you are hiding your stash in the freezer. We want the community to know that we are here for you. If you come into contact with any of these cookies, you can drop them off at the Purcellville Police Department. Officers will be happy to assist with safe, proper disposal. 😉👮‍♀️👮‍♂️🍪
