Sheriff Chapman was among those representing the National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) at today’s Protecting American Families and Seniors from Cybercrime event at the White House. It included presentations by Attorney General Blanche, FBI Director Patel, Secretaries Hegseth and Mullin, and others on this growing area of criminal activity and how to combat it.

The LCSO has the most active cybercrime unit of any local law enforcement agency in the Washington metropolitan region, and is committed to a strong partnership with our state and federal counterparts.

Route 7 WB/690/Hillsboro Rd is currently closed while crews are on scene to assist with clearing of the lodged vehicle.
Once truck passes through safely, lanes will be reopened.

West bound Route 7 is currently blocked at the bridge of 690/Hillsboro Road.
Currently traffic is reduced to one lane, but it may be temporarily shut down for removal of a vehicle stuck under the bridge.

🚌💛 SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK: LET’S GET EVERYONE HOME SAFELY! 💛🚌

School buses are more than just a ride to school — they carry our most precious cargo! 🎒👧🏽👦🏼 This School Bus Safety Week, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is reminding our community that everyone has a role to play in keeping students safe.
🚨 Here’s how you can help:
🛑 STOP for a school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
🚗 STAY BACK and give school buses plenty of room.
👀 BE ALERT for children getting on and off the bus, especially near bus stops and crosswalks.
🐢 SLOW DOWN in school zones and residential neighborhoods.
💛 SHOW RESPECT for school bus drivers and the important job they do every day.

Remember, a few extra seconds of patience can make a lifetime of difference. Our children are counting on us to make safe choices behind the wheel!

The Diwali celebrations at Independence and John Champe High Schools were extraordinary celebrations of music, dance, food, clothing and jewelry. The LCSO was grateful to be represented at both and share these cultural celebrations with our Indian community. Congratulations to everyone who organized these highly successful events.
