Furniture deliveries, appliance and plumbing repairs, carpet cleaning. At some point, most of us invite workers into our homes.

Most workers have good intentions and are there to do their job, but the Lee County Sheriffโ€™s Office says itโ€™s still important to keep an eye on things.

In Sheriff Carmine Marcenoโ€™s September Safety & Security Tip, LCSO explains how staying present while work is being done protects your valuables, prevents property damage, and keeps your family safe. It even protects the worker from false accusations.

A few tips from the article:
๐Ÿ”’ Lock up medications and put away cash, jewelry, and personal documents
๐Ÿ“ธ Take photos and video of the work area before workers arrive
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Have a friend come over so youโ€™re not alone with workers

Read the full article for more ways to protect your home and your peace of mind ๐Ÿ‘‡
https://www.sheriffleefl.org/sheriff-carmine-marcenos-september-safety-security-tip-when-you-invite-strangers-into-your-home/

LCSO also offers more than a dozen free crime prevention programs. To schedule one for your community, business, organization, or house of worship, call (239) 477-1CRU (1278) or email [email protected].
