Let’s support our neighbors if possible!!!
Great news for our department and community!!! More than forty years ago, Spring Creek neighbors came together to build the fire station we depend on today. That same community effort is helping build the Meadow Fork Substation and Helipad.
Department members are taking time off work to operate equipment. Neighbors are contributing gravel, hauling, materials, and financial support. Each contribution helps move the project forward.
The new station will improve emergency response, strengthen brush and wildfire coverage, and provide a safe landing area for air medical transport. We’re working to raise $50,000 so we can pursue a matching North Carolina state grant to help finish the work.
