**THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING DONORS!**

We are so incredibly grateful to Melody Rayl and Dana Spoor, who generously donated funds for Club CAN to purchase its very own **Nintendo Switch 2!**

Thanks to your generosity, our participants will be able to enjoy:

* A brand-new Nintendo Switch 2
* Four exciting games to choose from
* Extra controllers so everyone can join in on the fun
* A portable charging station to keep the fun going
* A carrying case to keep everything together and ready for play!

Your kindness is about so much more than a gaming system. It’s about creating opportunities for friendship, laughter, connection, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. This new addition will bring SO MUCH JOY to our Club CAN participants and give everyone more opportunities to play, participate, and have fun together!

It has been an action packed week for Club CAN!

On Monday we had our Fall craft night. Last night we had our Fall Virtual Night!

Team ‘Spooker Ghostbuster Goatbuster’ AKA “SGG” battled it out against team ‘Goonie Slasher’ AKA “GS”answering questions in a Halloween-themed jeopardy lab.

We had many participants join us for this event! A couple of participants were even from out of state! It is so fun to spread the Club CAN community beyond the KC Metro area.

Virtual nights were designed by our amazing board member, Jack, Jack Crews, to reach those who could not attend our local CANnection Social Events.

Virtual nights are a great way to socialize and spend time with friends when you aren’t able to attend our in-person events! Just like our in-person events, we operate neurodiversity-affirming virtual nights. If you want to just hang out and observe, you are welcome to do so. You can also answer questions and participate. Whatever your individual comfort level is!

We love Virtual Nights, and we are working on our calendar to offer them more frequently! Stay tuned!

**PORK OUT FUNDRAISER AUCTION IS COMING!**October 24th, 2026 5:00-10:30pm**

Ready to bid, have some fun, and support an amazing cause? **Auction tickets are available now using the link in our bio!** You can also start **previewing our auction items today** so you can plan your bids.

But you may be wondering… **where do the funds raised go?**

Your support helps Club CAN continue growing programs and opportunities for the individuals and families we serve. Specifically, we’re working toward:

**Increasing staffing presence at events** with licensed SLPs to provide additional support and expertise.

**Expanding events with food and drinks** for participants — because we know that’s always a big hit!

**Creating more community outings** to places like Topgolf, Main Event, Chicken N Pickle, and more.

**Expanding services for functional speech therapy** and **workforce/job matching support** to help individuals build skills and connect with meaningful employment opportunities.

Every ticket purchased, bid placed, and dollar raised helps make these opportunities possible. **Funds raised through Pork Out will go directly toward expanding these services and experiences.**

We’ll also be sharing **Club CAN’s annual report on our updated website in the future**, so our community can see how your support is making an impact.

This is a Medicaid and Community-Based Services (HCBS) program that goes into effect October 1st, 2026.

Club CAN is working to expand our services to include Speech-Language Therapy & Career Exploration & Planning. We want to continue our mission to develop a neurodiversity affirming community that fosters authentic relationships and values individual strengths by providing meaningful interactions and experiences.
