This past weekend, our team attended KC PrideFest to connect with community members and share information about our services. 🌈
We spoke with attendees about fair housing rights and home rehabilitation programs available to Johnson County homeowners. Safe, stable housing is a foundation for belonging. 🏡
We’re proud to support our LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month. 🌻

👏 We want to congratulate and recognize C. Clark a recent Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) graduate. Clark and her children were homeless before receiving an Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV). She was also a recipient of the blessings basket assembled and distributed last year. She is now fully self-sufficient and is no longer receiving assistance from Johnson County Housing.
Clark stated she is forever grateful for the assistance and support in her time of need.
Johnson County Housing Services is committed to enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable individuals by promoting housing stability, safety and accessibility.

🎉Congratulations to Mr. Robert Parker III for successfully completing the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program facilitated through Housing Services.
Despite setbacks, Robert pushed forward to complete his certifications in Nutrition, Chronic Disease, Health Promotion and EKG Technician.
FSS Coordinator Courtney Collins stated, “I am very proud of this graduate as he continues to move forward with his education.”
Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) is a voluntary program for participants in the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Each participant creates a five-year plan that includes employment goals and identifies training or educational needs.

We celebrated Employee Appreciation Day yesterday with bowling, food, and a lot of fun. 🎳🌻 It was a great chance to step away from the day‑to‑day and recognize the work our team does to support Johnson County residents.
We also highlighted the winning pitches from our recent Shark Tank event.💡🏆Staff shared creative, thoughtful ideas to strengthen our programs, improve processes, and continue building services that meet the needs of our community. 💛✨
