YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
Last week, the Lenoir City Police Department was invited to the Boys & Girls Club for a youth engagement opportunity. Officer Eldridge spent time with the kids, talking about what police officers do, answering questions, and building positive relationships with the youth in our community.
Thank you to Officer Eldridge for investing in our future, and thank you to the Boys & Girls Club for the invitation. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with the young people we proudly serve.

TRAINING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
This week, five LCPD officers graduated from Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). These officers completed 40 hours of specialized training focused on responding to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. This training helps us better understand mental health-related situations and respond in a safe, effective, and appropriate manner.
Programs like CIT support our department’s commitment to professional development while equipping officers with additional knowledge and tools to better serve our community when needed most.
Congratulations to Lieutenant Christian Dragon, Officer Riley Miller, Officer Dean Morea, Officer Dave Mendez, and Officer Donnie Carroll on this accomplishment.

SUPPORTING THOSE WHO SERVE
The Lenoir City Police Department is thankful for Director Rose White and Loudon County E-911. Yesterday, Director White stopped by to deliver a gift basket of snacks for our officers in recognition of National Police Week, with Chief Bryant and other officers on hand to accept it.
We are grateful for the strong partnership we share and for the continued support shown to the department and our officers. Gestures like this are a meaningful reminder of the shared commitment and passion for public safety that connects all of us.

RESPECT. HONOR. REMEMBER.
This week, we honor those who serve, have served, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. National Police Week is a time to reflect on the lives of the officers who gave everything in the line of duty, while also recognizing the men and women who continue to serve their communities each day with dedication and courage.
In the history of the Lenoir City Police Department, two officers (Officer Hildreth and Sergeant Buttram) gave their lives while protecting this community. During this week, we especially honor their sacrifice, remember their service, and keep the loved ones they left behind in our thoughts.
The Lenoir City Police Department is thankful for our officers who work tirelessly to protect and serve this community. To our officers, and to officers across the nation, thank you for your sacrifice, commitment, and service.

COFFEE. CONVERSATION. COMMUNITY.
LCPD is thankful for everyone who came out to our Coffee with a Cop event. This week, our officers had the opportunity to spend time connecting and having meaningful conversations with members of our community. Events like this support one of our core goals of building strong relationships through community involvement.
“Being able to connect with our community on this level is important,” said Chief Bryant. “It helps bridge the gap between officers and the people we serve, building trust and understanding that carry over into our daily work. We’re grateful for everyone who took time out of their day to come spend time with us.”
We’d also like to thank Starbucks for extending the invitation and for helping coordinate and host this event.
