For a long time, politics and the consequences of our lawmakers’ policies felt like something that was happening to me, rather than something I could change. It took a lot for me to shift from that sense of helplessness to go out with friends and knock on my first door more than 10 years ago. You may not believe me, but we did bring change—we changed ourselves, and we changed (some) of our neighbors minds.
Will you join me in the long, unglamorous, and (in a Tennessee summer) incredibly sweaty work of going door-to-door? If you have never canvassed before—don’t worry! We will have a training before sending you out to nearby neighborhoods and blue friendly doors. Bring a friend and help change our little patch of Tennessee.
