We are a non-profit assistance ministry helping individuals and families throughout Loudon County who are in crisis situations.

Our mission is to help those who would be unable to obtain assistance through other channels. Specifically: We provide 32,000 pounds of food per month to needy families. We provide filled backpacks to students attending school in the area. We also provide hundreds of Thanksgiving baskets to families who would otherwise go hungry during the holidays. For more extensive information please see our website at http://www.goodsamloudoncounty.org

It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible people who give their time, energy, and heart to serve our community. 💙

As a small thank you, we are doing drawings throughout the week for our volunteers. Below are a few of the winners.

You make everything we do possible, and we appreciate you more than words can say!

Recently, a local family came to the Good Samaritan Center during a very difficult time. An unexpected setback had left them struggling to keep up with basic expenses and unsure how they would make it through the month.

Because of the generosity of our community, we were able to step in and provide the help they needed to regain stability.

Before leaving, one family member said quietly, “I didn’t know what we were going to do. Thank you, thank you!”

Moments like this are only possible because of our volunteers, donors, churches, and partners who care so deeply about their neighbors.

Thank you, Loudon County, for showing up for one another. ❤️

Happy Employee Appreciation Day to our incredible team at the Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County!
Every day, they are the hands and feet of compassion in our community. Because of them, families facing hardship find not only assistance, but dignity, hope, and encouragement. Whether helping a neighbor keep the lights on, providing food for a family’s table, or simply offering a listening ear, their work changes lives in Loudon County.
Their dedication, integrity, and servant hearts make our mission possible. We are deeply grateful for the care they show and the difference they make — not just in moments of crisis, but in building lasting stability for those we serve.
Thanks to Evelyn, Vikki, and Kim for all they do, today and every day. 💙

❄️ Winter Weather Reminder ❄️
As cold temperatures move in, please stay safe and warm—bundle up, limit time outdoors when possible, and check on elderly neighbors, friends, and pets.

During this season, let’s also remember those who are homeless and families in need who may not have shelter or heat. Keep them in your prayers, and if you’re able, consider offering help through local shelters, donations, or acts of kindness.

Stay safe, stay warm, and let’s look out for one another.

💙 Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers! 💙
In 2025, our volunteers gave over 12,000 hours of their time to serve our community. That’s 12,000 hours of compassion, dedication, and love for our neighbors in need.
Because of you, lives were touched, families were supported, and hope was shared every single day. We are so grateful for each and every volunteer who chose to give their time and heart to this mission.
Thank you for being the backbone of our work—we truly could not do this without you.
