We had a full house of engaged voters in the Welles Gallery for the 2026 ballot initiatives session led by Lucy Kennedy! As part of the discussion, Kennedy mentioned some resources for voters to make informed decisions on the nine (yes, nine!) ballot questions facing Massachusetts voters.

These resources are included in a new Library blog post about the election. The Library Blog may be found on our website's homepage (link in profile), just below the Library Events section.

Calling all crafters for a Library Crafting Exhibition!

Over one hundred years ago, the Lenox Library used to host a handicraft exhibition in the fall. Let’s have fun by bringing back this tradition! Show off those books you bedazzled, your paint-by-number creations, your papercraft, your pandemic-era needlepoint...or whatever craft you imagine.

You may drop off your handiwork starting Friday, October 16.

We are constantly told to "think outside the box" to innovate, solve complex problems, and reach our goals. In Inside the Box, David Epstein draws on science, research, and fascinating real-world case studies to demonstrate how constraints, boundaries, and structure can become powerful catalysts for ingenuity and mastery. Epstein challenges traditional ideas about skill acquisition, focus, and problem-solving, revealing how top performers and innovators across industries turn rigid limits into unmatched strengths.
