Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps was founded in 1956 by Homer K. Moore as a means for transport for the residents of Wantagh and Levittown. We provide emergency care on our ambulances staffed with Advanced Life Support providers and are 9-1-1 responders. We have volunteers trained from CPR to the level of Paramedic providing emergency care to our communities. We are funded entirely through donations from the communities and by soft billing your insurance for our services. We accept what your insurance pays. If you have no insurance, our services are free. As of January 2020, we are now 24/7 with in house crews to ensure a faster response time! We are proud to serve you and your family.

The Levittown Kiwanis recently unveiled a beautiful new park bench honoring four distinguished past presidents who dedicated so much of their lives to serving our community: Leo Vanderburg, Peter Ray, Glen Lachow, and Peter Ryan.
We are incredibly grateful to the Levittown Kiwanis for inviting us to be part of this special evening and for honoring Peter Ryan, who meant so much to both of our organizations.
Peter was more than a member of the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, he was truly a cornerstones of our department. He dedicated decades to serving others and making a difference in the lives of the people around him. His commitment to WLVAC and to our community could be seen in everything he did.
Peter brought that same dedication to the Levittown Kiwanis, giving his time and energy to making our community a better place. His legacy of service will continue to live on through both organizations.
This bench is a beautiful tribute to Peter and to these distinguished past presidents. It will serve as a lasting reminder for future generations of the impact they made through their years of service, leadership, and commitment to their community.
We are so grateful to the Levittown Kiwanis for remembering Peter in such a meaningful way and for honoring the legacy of these remarkable community leaders.
Their service made a difference and their memories live on.

25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸
Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the brave men and women who ran toward danger to help others.
We especially remember Ex-Chief Richard H. Teuten and Captain Alan Hechtman, two members of our WLVAC family whose lives were forever changed by 9/11 and who later passed away from 9/11-related illnesses. Their dedication to service, their courage, and their sacrifice will forever remain a part of the history and heart of WLVAC.
We honor every first responder, volunteer, medical professional, and countless others who answered the call that day and those who continued the fight in the years that followed.
Twenty-five years later, their names are still spoken, their stories are still told, and their memories live on.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

On Wednesday, the Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps was proud to once again provide medical coverage for Shootout for Soldiers’ annual 24-hour lacrosse fundraiser at the Town of Hempstead’s Point Lookout Athletic Complex, alongside the Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department.
This year’s event raised an incredible $75,000 to support local U.S. veterans. We are honored to have been part of this amazing event for the past 6 years and look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come. It is a honor to stand beside those who support our nation’s veterans, and we can’t wait to be back again next year.
