For 24 hours, from March 5 at 6:00 p.m. through March 6 at 6:00 p.m., your support will help strengthen shelter, outreach, and the work we do to provide stability and dignity for individuals experiencing homelessness in Sussex County.

We are proud to share that Tharros Village has been approved to participate in Do More 24 Delaware, the statewide 24-hour day of giving that supports nonprofits across the state.

The event runs from March 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. through March 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

Do More 24 Delaware brings together individuals, businesses, and communities to strengthen organizations making a meaningful impact. During this 24-hour giving event, you can support Tharros Village's continued work.

Our 2026 giving day goal is to raise funds that support shelter operations, utilities, safety measures, site maintenance, and resident services throughout the 2026 operating season. Every gift helps sustain a community built on shelter, stability, and dignity for individuals experiencing homelessness in Sussex County.

Move-In Day at Tharros Village!

We’re thrilled to share that 17 residents have officially moved into Tharros Village, and it was an incredible experience. Our team worked hard to create a warm, welcoming environment, and the energy in the village is filled with hope.

Our admissions team is actively reviewing the wait list and preparing to assign the remaining 11 campsites. We are also proud to partner with First State Community Action Agency, which is leading our first on-site resident support sessions.

We look forward to sharing more updates and welcoming visitors when the time is right.

Wellness isn’t optional; it’s foundational. Our intake process helps us understand each camper’s physical and mental health needs so we can support the whole person, not just the circumstance.

Everyone at Tharros Village is encouraged to participate in health and wellness programs, as we believe that access to care is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. 🩺🧼💪

Every person at Tharros Village completes a detailed intake so we can build a safe, respectful, and peaceful environment for all. We believe in second chances—with structure and support.
