Pedaling into Adventure at Greenbrier East!

Greenbrier East’s GoGreenbrier After-School Program has a new Bike Club, led by Mr. Junceda!

Club members are enjoying time outdoors as they ride around the GEHS campus and make trips to the nearby Greenbrier County Board of Education building. It’s a great way to stay active, spend time with friends, and explore the area together!

We’re excited to see our Spartans embracing new opportunities through GoGreenbrier!

On Friday our Greenbrier East Pre-K students got into the Halloween spirit by drawing their very own Frankensteins and making a fun Frankenstein-themed drink!

With lots of creativity, smiles, and a little Halloween magic, our kiddos are getting ready for a spooktacular holiday! We think it’s safe to say that Halloween excitement is brewing in Pre-K!

Last week, Greenbrier East Pre-K had a special visit from Matt Peltier of the Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department and the Lewisburg Fire-Company 20. Our little Spartans loved exploring the fire truck and learning more about the important work firefighters do to keep our community safe.

Matt also brought along some fun fire safety goodies to help our students remember what they learned!

A huge thank-you to Matt and our local fire departments for taking the time to visit our Pre-K students and make fire safety fun and memorable!

Students in Mrs. Hanna’s class at Ronceverte Elementary School have officially gone batty for learning! 🦇

The class recently dove into an exciting unit all about the fascinating world of bats. To kick off the unit, students explored bat anatomy by learning the specific parts of a bat. They also discovered the secrets behind how these incredible nocturnal creatures use echolocation to navigate and survive in the dark. Taking their learning to the next level, each student was assigned a specific bat species to research. Combining science and creativity, students completed a hands-on STEM project to build detailed, realistic models of their chosen bat's natural habitat.
