Eastward Ho! We were thrilled to host a team from Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) for a recent tour of our Port. BPA, a federal agency delivering affordable hydropower from the Columbia River Basin to communities across the Northwest, came eager to explore the easternmost Port on the river system. From our industrial dock and grain terminal to our cruise boat facility and the future site of the Clearwater Marine Terminal, they got a great glimpse of who we are. We all left with a deeper respect for the vital roles both entities play in supporting our mighty river system and those who depend on it.

This weekend marks the final docking of the American West at the Port of Lewiston. For many years, she has gracefully navigated the Columbia and Snake rivers, creating cherished memories for countless passengers. This season, she will be retired, and her majestic presence on our waters will be greatly missed. Wishing her fair winds and following seas!

What's the difference between these two grain barges? Oh, just a casual 122,500 bushels of wheat! As this season's bumper crop gets loaded into empty barges, they gradually dip deeper into the water. While these barges have a low profile when loaded, they're secretly packing a whole lot of harvest below the waves!
