Good policy starts on the front lines.
I am grateful for Mariah Pfeiffer's help on LD 2103, which I sponsored to protect Maine hospitals from cybersecurity attacks--- like those Lewiston experienced in 2025.
Since then, Mariah and so many other courageous nurses at CMMC have led the fight for their rights as workers, decisively winning their union vote-- with 91% support.
Why? Because as frontline workers, CMMC nurses know that Lewiston deserves better healthcare.
That fight is not over.
I am working everyday alongside you to hold Prime accountable for their union-busting tactics, illegal firings, and systemic failures.
Thank you, Mariah, for your endorsement.
“As a nurse here in Lewiston, I saw firsthand the chaos and care disruptions caused by last June’s cyberattacks and electronic medical record downtime at our local hospitals.
Rep. McCabe listened closely to the impact on our community and worked with clinicians, administrators, cybersecurity experts to craft LD 2103, legislation requiring Maine hospitals to plan for cyberattacks and maintain continuity of care.
That is something worth recognizing: a local legislator who listens to her community, learns from its experiences, and turns those lessons into protections for others.
Let’s send her back to the Legislature so she can continue this good work.”
